Overview of all our techno releases in Q4 2019
During the past period, a couple of tracks have been released on our techo record label, ranging from dark techno to lighter uplifting deep house tracks.
Cluster
The first track we offer is Cluster by Kommando Schwarztee, released on October 28th 2019.
Cluster is a dark techno track, combined with a couple of synths that gives the song some melody. The track perfectly suits techno DJ’s that play dark techno in underground music clubs. The style Kommando Schwarztee used in his track is heard throughout the modern-day German techno scene.
Analogue
Just like Cluster, Analogue is a techno track. While you can hear the typical German techno sound style in Cluster, in Analogue this is less the case. The first track of this 2-track release is produced by Isolated System. He opted for a more minimalistic side of techno, instead of deep house that we are used to. The name of the track ‘Analogue’ refers to the sounds that Isolated System used. In this track you can hear deep minimal beats, combined with Analogue sounds.
The second track is a remix of this track, made by Tensive Line. For his remix he used the same analogue sound, but added more melody to the track, to make it suitable for the melodic techno charts.
Trust Me
A new artist we have welcomed on our label is Crack Jones, DJ/producer from Canada. He is already producing for no less than 10 years. On BMR he lately released the track Trust Me.
Trust me is a classic Chicago-style deep house music with a modern twist, including hints of tech-house and nu-disco sprinkled in. Funky filtered organs, retro analog synths, groovy acid basslines, sizzling layered hi-hat rhythms on top and a classic heart pounding kick drum to tie it all together.
At the end of the day, ‘Trust Me’ is a song about how trust is a game of give and take. But sometimes we want to have it both ways. We want to betray others, but we don’t want to be betrayed. That’s what ‘Trust Me’ is about.
This track came together in the space of about a week. It all started with the bassline. Once Crack Jones had that worked out, he experimented with different chord progressions and really liked the sound of Minor 7 chords, which feature heavily in Deep House. The end result had a kind of sultry and mischievous sound to it. If you are curious to hear the result, then listen to the track on Spotify!
Silent Dreams
Silent Dreams is the second release of Dobchinsky on Black Mirror Recordings. The idea behind the track was to combine a simple catchy melody with a chill autumn mood. In the track you will hear several instruments like a bass guitar, synthesizers, violins, saxophone and drums. The end result is an atmospheric melodic chill track, with a near-funk soulful rhythm.
