The first interview we ever did on BMR is with Isolated System. He is the label owner of Black Mirror Recordings, but also a deep house producer. In this interview you will read more about why he started his own techno record label, and what it is all about.
My name is Fabian Sietsema, I’m 25 years old and I live in Groningen. I am the founder of Black Mirror Recordings, a label specifically aimed at techno music.

During my student life I came into contact with underground music, including deep house and techno. I had heard about it before, but didn’t really know what it was. A friend of mine who produces music showed me what he was doing, and this motivated me to start producing myself. The idea to start a techno label came to life last year, when I was producing a lot and came into contact with a relative who also had a record label.
