First melodic techno release by Alex Fain
The tracks on this EP were born on a rainy night, all created while Alex Fain was under the covers while the bad weather was banging down outside. These tracks have the right mood for DJs who want to make the dancefloor move when the time is right.
This EP contains three melodic techno songs: an extend version and a radio edit of Luna, and the track Dark Sunrise. Luna is characterized by an arp and brutal synth sounds. The track features some similarities with BLAÜW’s track Sirens (see below), with fading and filtering synth’s popping in and out. This track managed to get no less than 4000 streams in just a few days! It is now in fifth place on Black Mirror Recording’s most sold tracks on Beatport.
Dark Sunrise is a minimal techno track which is a lot calmer in comparison to Luna. The BPM is way lower, and also more melodic sounds are present. After the more energetic track Luna, this track is a much-welcomed way to bring the energy back down. This track is comparable to tracks like Apparition by Truebeef.
Latest melodic tunes from Italy
The sound of this EP recalls the classic atmospheres of melodic techno music. The first track (Keys Effect) was made with vintage instruments such as the famous Rhodes piano, widely used in the 70s by rock and psychedelic bands. The second track (Avant Garde) instead is based on tighter rhythms and a solid synthetic bass line. For both tracks, the drums sections are dedicated to the historic and iconic 808 and 909 drum machines, which had a great impact on the history of house music.
Sweet melodies from Sajith Prakash
Daydreamer is a musical interpretation of Sajith Prakash his dreams, hopes and desires. The name of the track refers to the fact that Sajith often have daydreams. It was the first track he produced in his new house. It took about a month and a half to complete the track. Daydreamer is a compilation of emotions which will touch any electronic music lover. It’s a mixture of modern electronic melodies and euphoric atmosphere. The song has also been featured on Mojaxx‘s weekly progressive / melodic radio show. Check it out!

New melodic techno from Belgium
The most interesting release to check out is the track Sirens. This track is one of the best–selling melodic techno tracks from Black Mirror Recordings on Beatport. Now in second place. So certainly, a good addition to your favorite track selection or personal Spotify playlist.
This track is produced by BLAÜW, a producer who in day-to-day life is known as Lorenz Vandevoorde. Lorenz is 29 years old and lives in a small town called Jabbeke in Belgium. In his day-to-day life he is an accounting assistant for TUI Airlines.
Sirens is inspired by the Greek mythological Sirens, who were dangerous creatures luring sailors with their enchanting music and singing voices to shipwreck on the coast of their island.
When BLAÜW is making a new track, ideas usually come from movies or games. For the track Sirens this all started when he was heavily into Greek mythology, because he was playing ‘Assassins Creed Odyssey’ a lot. He usually wrestles a lot with his tracks. He constantly changes the melodies or the sounds for the leads, pads or basses. Then he makes a basic structure of how the track is going to progress, and then he starts laying out the track, making slight changes here and there until he is 99% satisfied. He’s never 100% satisfied because he always feels like he can somehow make it even better, but at some point, you have to stop otherwise it will never get finished.

Tensive Line releases second Melodic Techno EP
On 30th of March 2020 Tensive Line has already released his second melodic techno EP on BMR. Following his previous EP Time and Space, now he produced a new one named Dark Sky. This EP contains two songs, Night Ride and Under Pressure. You can read more about how this EP came about and where Tensive Line found inspiration to produce this one, right here in this article.
The Dark Sky EP is inspired by the nightshifts Tensive Line has at his job. During his nightshift he can often go to his house to produce a bit. Night Ride has been produced during his nightshifts, hence the title of this track. The track has a massive quick bass line, and together with an arp it’s really danceable, and ultimately suitable for the late-night hours. Under Pressure originated from a warm summer night. This track has a strong pushing and pressing vibe, which really suits the feeling of the night.
