Overview of released EPs ranging from deep house to techno
In the last quarter of 2019 and the first quarter of 2020, no less than three EP’s have been released on techno record label Black Mirror Recordings! This makes us feel honored and very proud at the same time. We would love to make you aware of these awesome new EP’s, so please continue to read to learn a lot more about each one of them.
I Play Extend (EP)
This EP is produced by Enif from Germany. The same producer already released a track on Black Mirror Recordings last year, with his other pseudo Kommando Schwarztee. Where Kommando Schwarztee aims for dark techno, Enif is focusing more on deep house. With this EP he reached this goal very successfully.
In the opening track ‘Acheloiades’ Enif implemented a couple of different melodies. These melodies give the track quite a dreamy sound, and together with a punchy bass scene is set for a compelling deep house record. This track can also be found on the best new hype deep house: january, and hit the Beatport deep house charts in spot #42. Kommando Schwarztee also put this track in his top 10 charts.
The second track ‘LilHurr’ is a bit of a lighter track, with an interesting moving bassline that gets the attention right from the start. Melodies are spiced up with some more percussions and lighter sounds.
Enif finished his EP with the track ‘Haushexe’. Haushexe has a bit of a funky vibe to it, and combined with a bit of an off-sound, this makes for an interesting and raw deep house record with a strong personal character.
On November 15th 2019 Susfractor release his first EP Vibrations. Susfractor lives in Colombia, and was inspired mainly by the landscapes and natural rhythms of his home country to produce this record.
The first track of is EP is called Vibrations, a great track to add to your favorite melodic techno selection. Vibrations can also be found on Melodic Techno Essentials Volume 9, a compilation album of great new techno tracks selected by Label Worx. This compilation album is a must have to the melodic techno lover. If you are curious and want to hear the track right now, then go ahead and find it on Spotify, Apple Music or Youtube.
Hybrid path is the second track on the Vibrations EP. In this track Susfractor used a lot of reverb, delay and echo, to create a wide and dynamic sound. All in all, a really nice track to play in the club or at home when throwing a party.
Susfractor closes down his EP with Fly Energy, a track which is a lot calmer compared to Vibrations and Hybrid Path. Especially in this track you can really hear the way Susfractor was inspired by the natural rhythms of Colombia. This is one for the dreamers, so sit down in your comfy seat, close your eyes and enjoy some relaxed music at the end of your long day at work.
Weapons Of Mass Hypnosis (EP)
Finally, we conclude this EP release summary with Weapons of Mass Hypnosis, also recently release on our label by our new family member Alien Pimp. This EP is characterized by dark sounds, combined with dub house beats. Especially in the first track ‘Rekanize’ this combination is really coming into fruition.
The tracks are simply music that Alien Pimp loves to hear. The sounds in the tracks came into being during a couple of producing sessions for other projects. He starts out by creating a groove that is hypnotic and captivating. It’s a therapeutic and energetic cleansing process. Then the tracks came together naturally in an EP.
The name of EP the ‘Weapons of Mass Hypnosis’ is intriguing in itself. The name is related to what’s happening in the world nowadays, where we are bombarded by all kinds of information 24/7. This has an influence on us humans, and basically hypnotizes us in many ways during our day-to-day lives.
